> How you can help Home Assistant reach more people on social media, and who to contact.

Most people hear about Home Assistant from someone else: a friend, a video, a post on Reddit. Sharing what you do with Home Assistant is one of the most effective ways to help the project grow.

## The official accounts

These are the official accounts of Home Assistant:

- [YouTube](https://youtube.com/@home_assistant)
- [Bluesky](https://bsky.app/profile/home-assistant.io)
- [Mastodon](https://fosstodon.org/@homeassistant)
- [X](https://x.com/home_assistant)
- [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/homeassistantio)
- [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/homeassistant/)
- [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/home-assistant)

Only those accounts speak for Home Assistant. If you run a fan account, a group, or a channel, make that clear in its name or description, so nobody mistakes it for an official one.

## How you can help

- **Share what you build.** A dashboard you are proud of, an automation that saves you time, a device you got working locally. Real homes convince people more than any announcement.
- **Share the news.** Repost release announcements and blog posts. Every release has a release party live stream on YouTube, which is a great thing to share. See [Release notes and the release party](https://contributors.home-assistant.io/releases/guides/release-notes/).
- **Answer questions where people ask them.** Not everyone finds the [forum](https://community.home-assistant.io/). A helpful reply under a post on social media helps too.
- **Suggest a community highlight.** Saw something great someone made? [Suggest it as a community highlight](https://www.home-assistant.io/suggest-community-highlight).
- **Stay kind.** The [code of conduct](https://www.home-assistant.io/code_of_conduct/) applies on social media too, when you talk about or for the community. Disagreeing with someone is fine. Piling on is not.

## Make content

If you make videos, tutorials, or reviews about Home Assistant, look at the [Creator Network](https://contributors.home-assistant.io/community/reference/programs/#creator-network). It connects content creators with the team.

## Using the name and logo

Want to use the Home Assistant name or logo? [Name and logo](https://contributors.home-assistant.io/brand/name-and-logo/) explains how to write the name and use the logo. For product packaging and marketing, there are separate rules in the [badge and brand guidelines](https://works-with.home-assistant.io/resources/badge-and-brand-guidelines/) of Works with Home Assistant.
