- In code: `home-assistant/epics`
- Also: epics

An epic lists what it delivers and when it is done. Its tasks are issues in the repositories where the work happens, like Home Assistant Core, the frontend, or the documentation, linked to the epic as sub-issues. Most epics deliver a roadmap [opportunity](https://contributors.home-assistant.io/glossary/opportunity/), or one phase of it. Some stand on their own, like a cleanup across many integrations.

Only Open Home Foundation staff, authorized contributors, and members of the home-assistant organization on GitHub create epics. Anyone can read and follow them. See [from idea to release](https://contributors.home-assistant.io/roadmap/how-it-works/).
