# Theme

> A set of CSS variables that changes the colors, and some sizes, of the frontend.

Users pick a theme in their profile, and can set one for a view or a card of a dashboard. Themes override the [design tokens](https://contributors.home-assistant.io/glossary/design-token/) of the frontend.
