A naming error of the entity description was found in the Water Heater integration, and we have now renamed WaterHeaterEntityEntityDescription to WaterHeaterEntityDescription in the 2025.1 release.
The old WaterHeaterEntityEntityDescription is deprecated, due for removal in 2026.1, and developpers are advised to use the new WaterHeaterEntityDescription instead.

Service call descriptions have been changed to support filtering. It's possible to add a filter to a service call to not show entities which do not support the service call, it's also possible to add a filter to a service call field to not show fields which are not supported by a selected entity to the user.
As of Home Assistant Core 2026.11, water heater entities have a new temperature_unit state attribute, and the temperature properties integrations implement have been renamed with a native_ prefix.
We are working on improving and standardizing our entity naming. This will allow us to show, in the UI, entities in the right context in the future while removing some error-prone magic mangling of entity names from the code base.
The type of location_accuracy attribute (short hand _attr_location_accuracy) of the TrackerEntity class of the device_tracker entity component has been changed from int to float.
