Humidifier
The more-info view of a humidifier or dehumidifier, with a round dial for the target humidity.
The main control is the target humidity, on the same round dial as the climate view: the control circular slider. Using one shape for every "keep the room at this value" device means people learn it once.
Inside the dial you find what the device is doing right now, like humidifying or drying, the target in big numbers, and a minus and a plus button. A dot on the ring marks the current humidity, and the current humidity is also shown as a small label above the dial.
Below the dial, a row of menus holds the secondary settings:
- State, to turn the device on or off. It is always there.
- Mode, like normal, eco, sleep, or boost. It only shows when the device supports modes.
- Like the climate view, the humidifier has no big on and off switch. Turning it on or off is a menu, so the dial keeps its place as the main control.
- The dial takes the color of the state and the current action, and goes gray when the device is off.
- A humidifier fills the ring from the start up to the target. A dehumidifier fills it from the target to the end, because it works to bring the humidity down.
- When the device doesn't report a current humidity, the label above the dial and the dot on the ring are left out.
- The mode menu lists the modes the device reports, each with its own icon.
