What it shows

The question you have about a person is "where are they?". The view answers it with a map. At the top is the state row, with the zone the person is in, like Home or Work. Below it, a map zooms in on where the person is, with a marker showing their initial or picture.

Alex is at home, tracked by a phone. Sam is at work.

For administrators, a Create zone from current location button below the map turns the spot where the person is into a new zone. It is not part of these demos.

Design notes

  • The map only shows when the location of the person is known: from their own coordinates, or else from the zone they are in. A person without either gets just the state row.
  • Create zone from current location only shows when the person has coordinates of their own, since a zone needs a spot to start from.
  • The map fits itself around the person, so you don't need to zoom or pan to find them.
  • The state is the name of the zone, not the coordinates. People think in places, like Home or Work.

In code

The view is more-info-person in src/dialogs/more-info/controls/more-info-person.ts. The map is ha-map from src/components/map/. The person domain has no newer more-info design, so the dialog also shows the state row at the top.
